3R Blocks LLC is a concrete masonry manufacturer in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. We make three lines at our own plant: structural gray CMU, architectural and color block, and concrete pavers. Our gray CMU is made to ASTM C90, the loadbearing concrete masonry specification, and our pavers to ASTM C936. Both are published by ASTM International; the Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association maintains the technical guidance behind them.
A concrete masonry unit is a precast block made from hydraulic cement, water, and mineral aggregate, moulded and cured into a standard shape rather than poured on site. Loadbearing units are made to ASTM C90 and are what most people mean by a cinder block or concrete block. They come hollow or solid and carry structural load in foundations, walls, and partitions.
